Upcoming Events to Secure Your Motorsport Australia National Licence Signatures
Planning to race the Bathurst 6 Hour? You’ll need a Motorsport Australia National Circuit Licence — and that means completing your medical, online lecture, Observed Licence Test (OLT) and three sanctioned race events. With the season break from December to February, now’s the time to lock in your calendar. Here are the key events that’ll get you race-ready and Bathurst-eligible.
If you’ve got your sights set on the Bathurst 6 Hour in 2026 or any other national-level endurance race, you’ll need your Motorsport Australia Circuit Racing National Licence. And that means locking in the required observed race events before the cut-off.
Australia’s motorsport season slows right down from December through February, which can make finding enough race meetings before April a scramble. The solution? Get those signatures the year before — and we’ve got just the events to help you do it.

A multi-class series that’ll test your adaptability, strategy, and consistency over race distances.📅 October 31–November 2: RX8 Cup – Morgan Park, QLD
Take your racing interstate and tackle one of Queensland’s most technical circuits.
Each of these events is Motorsport Australia-recognised, meaning they count towards the observed race requirements for your Circuit Racing National Licence.

Despite being in his first year of competitive motorsport, Ronin Lindenmayer showcased remarkable talent and control in the team’s Mazda RX8. Throughout the three endurance races, he steadily improved his lap times, pushing closer to the benchmarks set by seasoned RX8 racers. Head Coach Phil Alexander praised his rapid progress and consistency:
“Ronin’s consistency in times is exceptional, especially for only having started his motorsport career this year. Having times within a second of really experienced RX8 racers is nothing to sniff at.”
Ronin’s achievements peaked during Race 3, where he clocked a best time of 1:12.8560. Moreover, he consistently lapped in the 1:13 range, proving that talent, combined with the right coaching and track time, leads to significant improvements in a short period.
Ronin’s Best Times:

Alexander & Connolly Adapt in the Mazda SP25
Meanwhile, Phil Alexander and John Connolly faced extreme weather conditions in their Mazda SP25. With heavy rain impacting Race 1, visibility was a major concern—especially for a Class E car at the tail end of the pack. Still, the pair demonstrated adaptability, maintaining steady lap times and progressively moving through the field. As Phil Alexander noted:
“Consistency is really important in motorsport, particularly in endurance racing, because it’s what brings the car home in the end.”
The team came home on the podium in second place with a smack on the wrist to the chief for pulling into the pits too fast - obviously needed a toilet stop.
Alexander & Connolly’s Best Times:

Race 2: 1:14.1510
Race 3: 1:14.0050
