Participants in the Deputy 4 Hour must have a four-seater car manufactured between 1986 and 2009 with an engine capacity of 2 liters or less. The vehicle must be equipped with a roll cage and a four-point racing harness, ensuring safety and compliance with race regulations. The race format includes a 60-minute practice and qualifying session followed by two separate 2-hour races, providing ample track time and a rigorous test of both driver skill and vehicle endurance.

To compete in the Deputy 4 Hour Endurance Race, drivers must have a Motorsport Australia Competition License, AASA or Pheasant Wood Competition License. Proper racing attire is mandatory, including a fire-resistant racing suit, gloves, shoes, and a helmet that meets safety standards.

The event takes place at the Pheasant Wood Circuit in Marulan, New South Wales, known for its top-tier facilities and challenging track design. The race day begins with a 60-minute practice and qualifying session from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with 3 classes available and a new break out class for under 60 seconds.

Following the qualifying session, the first part of the race kicks off at 10:30 am and runs until 12:30 pm. During this two-hour stint, driver changes must occur every 15 minutes, with each pit stop lasting a minimum of 90 seconds. The first half of the race is followed by an hour for lunch.

The second part of the race starts at 1:15 pm and continues until 3:15 pm. Starting positions for this session are determined by the laps completed and any penalties incurred during the first part of the race.

Participation in the Deputy 4 Hour requires a $750 entry fee per round, with a minimum of three drivers per car.
