CORNER BY CORNER
-
Coming off the striaght you want to ensure you get all your 'jobs' (downshifting, braking etc.) done before turn one. Pick the throttle up and make sure you drive through the corner.
-
The iconic turn two at Pheasant Wood. Ensure you stay mid track and as the corner narrows tighten your line. On exit wait until the car is basically straight before accelerating. Hot Tip: mind the curvature of the wall on the left - it can be deceiving!
-
Stay close to the right hand side of the track exiting turn 2. Stay a bit higher than what you would expect - you should be able to get into 3rd gear before hitting the apex and heading straight out to the wall.
-
Hug the wall on the right out of turn 3. Nice big sweeper here. Hang on the wall until the end of the signage where you will want to prepare for the gentle apex that presents itself in turn 4 and then stay tight on the left.
-
Hold onto the left coming out of turn 4 and that will set you up nicely for this corner. It's a bit of a tricky one with a sharp apex but stay to the left for a little longer to give you a straighter run at it. You will need to downshift quickly. As soon as you hit the apex let the car run out to edge of the circuit. Watch out that you don't end up on the concrete though as it's slippery!
-
The fastest corner of the track, stay high and hug the wall on the left. Most cars will get into 3rd gear where the flag marshal tower is and stay in 3rd for the corner. Make sure you use all of the circuit here and really push through the corner.
-
A nice gentle corner in the fastest part of the track. You will be able to pick up speed here just watch your timing of the apex.
-
You can essentially draw a straight line from seven to eight. Watch your speed here as the track gets technical again. Stay tight to turn eight, only let the car run a little bit to prep for turn nine.
-
Stay high entering this banked corner. A very late apex on this one. As soon as you hit it head to the wall. You should be able to reach the wall quite quickly which will give you a long run up the straight.
-
The fastest part of the track you will be able to see the timing mark as you hit the spectators stand. Do your gear selection and braking for turn one here and then pick the throttle up and drive through turn one.
