Round 1: Phillip Island Raceway (March 1–2)
Renowned for its sweeping corners and oceanside views, Phillip Island challenges drivers with high-speed turns and elevation changes. The RX8’s balanced chassis thrives here, highlighting driver skill. This two-day meeting includes a practice/qualifying session and multiple races, guaranteeing you plenty of laps.
Round 2: Winton Raceway (May 9–11)
Part of the Motorsport Australia NSW State Championship, Winton Raceway is a tight, technical circuit dubbed “Australia’s action track.” Its slower corners demand consistency, rewarding precise throttle control. Over three days, drivers undergo practice and qualifying before tackling longer-format races, making it ideal for those wanting to refine racecraft or work toward their National Racing License sign-off.
Round 3: Sydney Motorsport Park (June 20–21)
Also part of the NSW State Championship, Sydney Motorsport Park (SMSP) presents a mix of fast straights and demanding corners. A typical race weekend here includes a practice/qualifying block plus multiple races—cramming in plenty of wheel-to-wheel action over two days. With the Mazda RX8’s nimble handling, you’ll appreciate every twist and turn of this premier facility.
Round 4: Sydney Motorsport Park (August 29–31)
Returning to SMSP for another NSW State Championship round, competitors can fine-tune their setups from Round 3. This three-day format often includes extended practice and additional sessions, meaning even more seat time to sharpen your skills and accumulate those crucial license endorsements.
Round 5: Sydney Motorsport Park (September 26–28)
Back again at SMSP for the penultimate NSW State Championship round, drivers benefit from substantial practice, qualifying, and multiple races over three days. Expect tight battles as championship aspirations escalate, ensuring spectators and racers alike enjoy high-octane drama.
Round 6: Morgan Park (October/November 30–2)

THAT’S A WRAP ON 2024🥂
2024 was a landmark year for RaceAway Track Time, with multiple podium finishes, a series win, and unforgettable racing moments. From the Bathurst 6 Hour to local track days, we pushed boundaries, trained new drivers, and delivered intense competition. Here's a look back at a season full of excitement and success.
What a year for RaceAway!🏁
2024 has been nothing short of spectacular, with a season packed with milestones and achievements. This year, we reached new heights, taking on a total of 30 race meetings and hosting 21 track days at Pheasant Wood Circuit. We also added 4 exciting events at One Raceway to our calendar, making it a truly action-packed year. One of the standout moments was taking two cars to the Bathurst 6 Hour for the first time, with both teams making it onto the podium—a monumental achievement for us all!
Our rookie driver, Ronin Lindenmayer, made waves in the NSW Production Touring Series, and after a strong first round, he took home the Series win in Class E, trophy in hand.
We also tackled all 8 rounds of the Deputy 4 Hour, mixing up our lineup with both seasoned drivers and newcomers, and proudly secured a 2nd place finish in the series. A fantastic outcome for everyone involved!
In addition, regular driver John Connolly raced in the MX5 Cup and took home a well-deserved trophy at the One Raceway round of NSW Production Touring.
Challenge Bathurst was another highlight, with 5 of our cars on track and plenty of action throughout the event. We also traveled to Queensland and competed in the Sydney and Winton 300 series, further solidifying our presence in the motorsport world.
Head Coach Phil Alexander says:
"I'm thrilled with the intensity of our racing this year. Racing almost every weekend is a dream for many, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see our driver training and race car hire services grow. We’ve welcomed many new faces to what I consider to be the best sport”
“A huge thank you to our coaches, pit crew, and management team. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes, and we couldn’t do it without the heroic efforts of everyone involved.
A special shout-out to Mark Crutcher for taking over the Australian Franchise of the TA2 series, Jayden Ojeda for joining Mercedes AMG Racing, Seth Gilmore (who graduated with us earlier in the year) for winning the Aus F4 rookie cup, Josh Haynes for winning the TA2 Championship, Maisie Place for celebrating her 100th RX8 event, Rod Tippett for coming onboard as a coach with RaceAway, Scott Tidyman for coming 2nd outright and winning the Masters division in the APRA series, and to One Raceway for bringing vibrancy to our racing calendars again!"
Thank you to everyone who made this year possible! We’re already looking forward to what 2025 will bring. Stay tuned for more excitement ahead! 🚗💨🏁
