V8 Sleuth highlights Phil Alexander’s Bathurst story
RaceAway Track Time head coach Phil Alexander was recently featured by V8 Sleuth in its article The legends of longevity in 2026 Bathurst 6 Hour field. The piece looks at Phil’s long connection with Mount Panorama, from his Bathurst 1000 debut in 1981 through to his current Bathurst 6 Hour campaign in the #53 Mazda 3 SP25. It also reflects on his strong Mazda history, his top-10 Bathurst finishes in the early 1980s, and the role he now plays helping grassroots drivers take the next step into racing through RaceAway Track Time.
As V8 Sleuth noted, Phil “made his Mount Panorama debut in that race” — the start of a Bathurst story that continues today through both his own racing and the drivers he helps bring into the sport.
